Pap smear results

Hello,

I'm a little bit concern about the results of my anual pap smear. According to my Primary Care Doctor, the test showed uterine inflammation and bacteria (no cancer), but she said to go back and see her only if I develop any symptoms, such as abnormal discharge, foul smell, etc. I had laparoscopic surgery 14 months ago with a different doctor; they removed 2 ovarian cysts, mild endometriosis and a benign polyp in the uterus. I was wondering why the doctor didn't give me any treatment if there is an infection or at least order another kind of test or send me again to the OBGYN before any symptom develops. I have never been the same after that surgery; I keep having abdominal and lower back pain and very very heavy and long periods. The OBGYN didn't seem concern about that when I went back to see him about three months after the surgery. He ordered tests to check my kidneys and some blood work and everything was normal. The pain continued and finally my primary care doctor put me on Zoloft. I have felt somewhat better, but never a 100%. Now this test shows an infection and inflammation wich really makes me think if I have always had a problem that has been undetected. Thank you in advance for any advice.
