2-3 periods each month! Help! What's wrong with me?

I have been having 2 and sometimes even 3 periods every month for the last 7 months. I am very concerned and I don't know why this is happening. It all started in August and is still happening. I am not on any medications and I am not overweight. My mother said she has never heard of anything like it before so I am fairly sure it doesn't run in the family. I can't find anything on the internet about my situation and I have visited all the sites I can think of. I don't have any other symptoms that I can think of that may be related to this or not. I have had a battle with hives this past month and for the past two months I have noticed I am losing more hair every time I shower or brush it (though I don't know if that has anything to do with it or if it is because I use cheap Suave shampoo). I have read about PCO or PCOS and I am only 21, rather thin, and I do not have facial hair. I would just like to know what could be wrong with me. It seems that my excessive periods have been going on far to long to just be a fluke. I am concerned... do I have reason to be? I would just like to know what you think so I can look up something on the internet. It is near impossible to look up symptoms of something if you don't know what it is and I haven't found a medical term that describes my condition thus far. I hope you can help shed some light on this for me. Thank you.
