I hope someone can help. Sonja, Could be the second surgeon didn't feel there was another alternative to your fibroids especially in light of your reservations regarding myomectomy. Also, your GP isn't an OBGYN, who would have much more experience dealing with fibroids. What about asking friends who they use as a GYN? You don't mention where you live, but can only suggest trying the medical university closest to you (they usually have a medical campus....call their GYN dept.).
