Lifting after vaginal hysterectomyFrom: Errica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 Jan 2002 17:55:37 -0600 (CST)
I was told not to lift anything over a gallon of milk for two weeks after my surgery, but I have a 4 year old son who weighs 43 pounds and with out thinking I lifted him and since that day I have hurt I bled just a fews minutes and now it hurts if I pass gas and it also hurts if I try to have a bowel movement. I guess I am just wandering what I might have done to myself and why it hurts to have a bowel movement and pass gas? I am no longer bleeding I am just uncomfortable in my belly. I would appreciate any suggestions to what I might have done.
