Hi:

I was diagnosed with quite advanced HPV about 17 years ago. I would like you to know that since I completed the treatment I have never had an abnormal pap. Although the treatment back then was a long process, I never developed any complications from HPV. Most people today have some form of this virus. Your doctor will monitor you closely, but please don't worry too much about cancer, although smoking will put you at higher risk. I thought it would be good for you to hear a success story, after all the stuff you've propably read by now! Best wishes.
