Important Issues/? Regarding Chlamydia - Need Answers Badly

Hello,

I pray someone takes a moment to answer these few questions I have. I've been looking through the archives all day with no luck as to some answers. Here's the situation...I've been married for 3 years (in the relationship about 6 yrs.) Never been unfaithful and he says the same with no hesitation. During my second pregnancy around 11-1-01 my chlamydia test came back negative. It was also negative during my first pregnancy. However, after the birth (12-3-01) at my 6wk appointment, that culture came back positive for chlamydia. So, according to this test I contracted chlamydia the day before my son was born since this was the only time I had sex between 11/1 & 12/3.

My 1st question is if chlamydia is dormant does it produce a positive or a negative test result? So, if I had chlamydia and it was dormant, would it still produce a positive test result?

My 2nd question is what other antibiotics are effective against chlamydia because I was treated in the hospital during my labor for being positive for Group B Beta Strep and I was wondering if this would have taken care of a chlamydia infection?

My 3rd question is related to the previous in that if I was indeed infected with chlamydia during my labor wouldn't my son have been at risk as he came through the birth canal?

Thank you for your time.
