chlamydia and pid ?From: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 30 Jan 2002 11:51:26 EST
My wife has been diagnosed with PID and from what I understand it is possible that it would come from a Chlamydia infection. I have no symptoms, but I will get tested in the next few days to find if I have it too. I have a few questions at this subject: 1) Is PID 100% of the time linked to a Chamydia infection or another STD? If not, what are the other sources? 2) How long could it have been in our respective bodies? Is it possible that one of us would have contracted it 8 years ago and that we would have been passing it back an forth all those years? I am asking this because she has had "urinary infections" or "yeast infections" many times since we've been together (several times a year). 3) Is it possible to get Chlamydia when having 100% protected sex? Thank you so much for your help!
