Leg PainFrom: beth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Jan 2002 20:32:11 -0600 (CST)
I have been charting my BBT & CM for the past few months, & while it appears I experienced a temp. rise & consistent high temps. starting Wed. of last week (signalling possible ovulation), I have noticed yesterday & today that I am experiencing some annoying upper leg pains. I don't have this pain every cycle, the last time I noticed this was about 3 mos. ago, & the first time over a year ago. The pain is isolated to my lower left stomach & radiates to the top of my left leg. The pain is similar to early contractions I experienced during labor 31/2 yrs. ago. Last pap smear 6 mos. ago showed possible infection, but nothing abnormal. By taking advil, the pain goes away. What could be causing this type of radiating pain ? My cycles run from 32 days - 46 days, depending on activity & stress levels at work. Some have suggested that it may be that mittelschmerz, but isn't this a symptom of ovulation typically, not a post-ovulation symptom ? Or this pain a symptom of endo, or something else ? I have no abnormal bleeding, headaches, other pain, no meds, no pills etc. Just breast tenderness for the past week.
