If not, why? Do you reccommend taking an antiviral drug during the last trimester and if so which are 'safer'? I have heard that suppressive therapy for herpes sometimes causes the virus to 'adapt' and become 'stronger' and less responsive to antiviral medication. Is there any truth to this? I was on suppressive therapy for about 2 years, about 8 years ago, and a gyn. recommeded me stop. I definately don't have major outbreaks but they are frequent, about once a month. Have you heard of ViraDerm? Oxygen therapy? Thanks again Dr. Wang!
