concerned about gyn appt tomorrow

Hello...a little history about myself. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with endo via laparoscopy, but the surgeon didn't remove any because he said there was too much. He put me on Lupron for six months...although that helped the pain a little, it never completely went away. That physician told me that the pain could not be from endo, because the Lupron should have taken care of it. After lots of research and a caring family physician, I have found a surgeon who specializes in endo and feels he can help me.

I am VERY concerned about my appointment with him tomorrow. First of all, these exams are always difficult for me (I have never been sexually active) and now I am having a lot of heavy bleeding with lots and lots of crampings. I am concerned about this exam being worse because of the amount of pain that I am already in...not to mention being embarrassed about the fact of being examined while I'm bleeding.

Is there anything I can do to try to ease the discomfort? Also, is there anyway I can ease my fears before going in there?

Thank you so much in advance for any advice!
