Hi Robin:

Yes, this could be either endo or adeno..

I just read on Medline that an endometriosis biopsy is also a test to see if there is endometriosis..but I know this doesn't show if there is endo anywhere else in the pelvic cavity, doesn't it just show if there is endo within the outer layers of the uterus?

I am having a Laproscopic Supracervical hyst so when the dr goes in, he'll be able to see if endometriosis is involved..but I also want to know before hand what he'll do if he does find that there is endometriosis on my tubes or anywhere else for that matter, I know as far as the adenomyosis, that is only dx'd after hysterectomy.

I have been dealing with periods twice a month for the past few years, not every month, sometimes I would reregulate myself, sometimes with hormones, but the hormones would eventually stop working, or I couldn't handle the side effects and I didn't have the severe cramping and bloating and flooding that I have been getting in the past year.

My dr was concerned in Nov about my blood count, it had dropped and since I didn't want the hyst then we went with the ablation (knowing that it may not work and would have the hyst if it didn't, I believe I tried everything to get things back to normal.

I will definitely keep in touch.

Thanks again for your help.
