Backache and coilFrom: sally (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 26 Jan 2002 15:42:48 -0600 (CST)
Having not been suited to Depo Provera shot - abdominal pains, loss of sex drive, very tired - I got a coil fitted a year ago. Since then I have had constant lower backache and severe bloating with pelvic pain, so much so that it inhibits movement - and it is only relieved when I start to bleed. My periods are not yet returned to normal - quite light and irregular.I am also very tired, sleeping 14 hours a night sometimes.I have been tested for Chlamydia and had an ultrasound and IBS has been ruled out. Any suggestions where this pain could originate from. Should I have my hormone levels measured? Could the coil cause the bloating, pelvic pain and backache? Many thanks.
