Can an epidural be used instead of anesthisiaFrom: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 26 Jan 2002 14:42:02 -0600 (CST)
Hello my name is Julie Im 24 and I have already had my uterus removed a year ago.I am exteremly allergic to anesthsia. My bowels shut down for a full week after surgury which results in hospitalization. I have to have my overie removed on tuesday and am wondering if they can use an epidural during this surgury rather than general anesthisia. My doctor says she is going to do the surgury by laporascope. If anyone has any information please respond to this message.
