Lupron, Stage IV Endometriosis, Ovarian Cysts and Uterine Polyps

In June of 2001, I had a laparotomy and D&C to relieve my endometriosis (which had enlarged my overies to about 9 cm with cysts) and to help control my constant bleeding (approx. 6+ months non-stop). I then took a 6-month course of Lupron, with few side effects and a total relief of my pain. In January, 2 months after the last Lupron injection, my period had again been unstoppable (constant since November, with sudden extremly heavy bleeding beginning shortly after Christmas- approx. 8 tampons/ day). An ultrasound revealed my ovaries were once again enlarged and another D&C was done last week to relieve the bleeding and to get a pathology report on the source of it. I don't have the path report yet but my doctor found my uterus to be completely covered in uterine polyps. In summation, I appear to have had stage IV endometriosis, uterine polyps , ovarian cysts and enlarged ovaries- I'm sure a medical student would have a field day using me as a walking textbook sample or something! My questions are these: Is it common for the endometriosis to return so completely so shortly after the Lupron? Are BCP a good option to try to reduce the amount of endomtriosis- we've tried OVCON 35 twice now and it hasn't made any difference? We're going to try a different pill with a different dosage of hormones- any suggestions of a kind to try? I know polyps are mostly benign and harmless but I should I be concerned with their sudden appearance (esp. in a short time)? If the BCP doesn't help shrink the endometriosis from my ovaries, and if my pain- which is considerable and constant- doesn't alleviate, then would another laparotomy be the best option?

Thank you for any advice!
