According to your report you posted, Dr. Shanahan said it was a hormonal imbalance. I think you need to sit down with your Dr. and ask him/her to explain *everything* to you. I get the impression this hasn't happened. Call your MD on Monday and either set up an appt., or ask if you can speak to the MD on the phone to get clarification on things. You are the patient and you are paying your MD. You have the right to know what is going on with your body, if anything....but any test you have, the Dr. should tell you prior to the test what they are looking for, and once the results are in, explain those.
