I had my last child 12 months ago. Ever since I have had periods that lasted 8-11 days of bleeding and 20 days of a cycle. I recently went on ortho 777 for 2 months then switched to a mini pill, yasmin. I have been on that pill for 2 weeks. I also have a history of painful periods, a strong family history of endometriosis, and am currently weaning my child from breastfeeding. I have made an appointment for the OB, but of coarse I have to wait a week before I can get in! But i am very worried. I have had what seems to be itching, painful labia 2 weeks prior to getting my period. I always think it is a yeast infection, minus foul discharge. I treat myself, and the symptoms don't go away until my period arrives only to return again the next month. And just this weekend, and during intercourse with my husband after he ejaculated (i didn't orgasm) I experience instant burning that travel up my lower abdomen to my right side. I pain was intense as if cramping or burning. I also had severe lower back pain during. I found a douch (thank god) used that and the pain subsided after a 1/2 hour (i couldn't even stand up) Then i had intermittant cramping/buring all day with warm leakage of fluid (clear and minimal) I am very worried. I just wanted to see if I could get any info prior to my appt. thurs. thanks.
