hcg is hte pregnancy hormone level. An inappropriate rise can be associated with an abnromal pregnancy that is foing to miscarry, or witha tubal pregnancy.

If your daughter in law does miscarry, she should be offered a work-up for repeated miscarriage. If her doctro is not familiar with this, then she should see a reproductive endocrinologist.
