She is starting to bleed and all symptoms seem to be the sameas before. Her Doctor says her hcg levels aren't going up. What are hcg levels and what could be causing this? thanks Brenda Newsome hcg is hte pregnancy hormone level. An inappropriate rise can be associated with an abnromal pregnancy that is foing to miscarry, or witha tubal pregnancy. If your daughter in law does miscarry, she should be offered a work-up for repeated miscarriage. If her doctro is not familiar with this, then she should see a reproductive endocrinologist.
