( A vent!) One of the bravest and funniest things that I have ever saw was Rosie O'Donnell,on the talk show, come out with a long chin hair with a bead at the end of it. It was horrifying, fascinating, Hysterically Funny, and very revolutionary. so why do we care about these things?I think we fear evidence of imperfection in our bodies and our lives. I think we care because they are physical evidence of imperfections we perceive in our character, our mortality, and of nature's claims on us. Ofcourse we forget that all people have random hairs all over their bodies! I am not less attractive because of chin, breast, ear, leg, or armpit hairs. If the body is a garden perhaps these hairs are like dandelions. I am a work-in-progress. I am under construction/renovation. I am determined to accept the PCOS, the chin and breast hairs, and in fact, celebrate them! Okay Ladies, I'm done venting....
