I need some information about side effects of Evista. I have been on it for several years but have had fairly severe muscle spasms in the back of my calves and feet from time to time;. once or twice a month. Recently the spasms are of increased frequency, duration and severity. I have fainted more than once and knocked myself out in a blackout. I am wondering if any other women are presenting with these problems. (The good news is that I didn't break any bones when I was knocked out). I believe it is dangerous for me to continue with the medication but I cannot get in to see my doctor for several days. What could happen if I stop taking them cold turkey? As it is now, I dread going to bed knowing I may be awakened early in the morning with muscle spasms so painful I pass out. I would appreciate your opinion on my comments and concerns and I appreciate having this forum to bring up the question..
