After using a conventional IUD for 3 years, I had a Mirena IUS inserted approx. 2 and a half months ago. I have had more frequent periods since then (every 16-22 days approx.) and spotting in between on a regular basis. (all of which I understand are normal side effects in the first 3 months) However, I have also been experiencing some serious dizziness and lightheadness, and even a momentarilly black out after a work out from the dizziness that . I have not done a complete correlation - but I am starting to bellieve that these dizzy periods happen when I am bleeding now (either from a period or spotting in between. Have there been any reports of this as a side effect from Mirena? And if so, is it a time-limited side effect? Thank you.
