[Birth Control] Alesse, lower backache

I am 40 and started on Alesse for hormone balance due to perimenopause.

>From the 2nd pill I have had a horrible lower bachache! Like I would get
when I was pregnant.

I have 4 pills left for this month but wonder if this side effect will go away with use?? Is it the progestin that causes this?

It is suggested to try 3 months worth before making a decision but if the backache is going to stay---I don't want to continue with it.

Thank you, Lynn
