Re: vulvodyniaFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 15 Jan 2002 16:31:00 -0800 (PST)
Tiffany, If you are having blisters going on it needs to be evaluated by a dr b/c you may have a dermatologic cause for this. I have vulvodynia. I don't have blisters, and a lot of other women that I've met with vulvodynia don't have blisters either but there are some others of these women that may have dermatologic conditions like Lichen Sclerosis. Vulvodynia is a medical term that means pain of the vulvar area and there are a number of reasons for why the area hurts. I don't know where you went to do your research on vulvodynia but take a look at these links as well: http://www.vulvodynia.com http://www.vulvarpainfoundation.org http://www.nva.org http://www.vulvodyniasupport.com http://www.geocities.com/svsg_newjersey http://www.vulvarhealth.com (this link has some good info on some of the skin conditions that can be in conjunction with vulvodynia) Feel free to e-mail me off the list as well as IM me on Yahoo Messenger at: sokokl if you want to talk some more about this. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
