i have been taking paroxetine since 4/12/01. it has certainly eased my depression, i feel more in control of my life than i have for several years. i am nolonger overwhelmed by my emotions nor do i cry like 'a tap' anymore but... since going to a different chemist last week for my prescription & coming home with a different brand - now seroxat - i can't seem to get to sleep no matter how tired i am till 4am & i'm up at 7am with my 18 month old son; also i feel even more anxious at times than i did before its as if i'm on amphetamines & despite my physical fatigue mentally i'm wide-awake & i can feel quite manic; also i'm constantly hungry no matter how much i eat (i have already gained 8lbs since starting the tablets); last but not least i have started to have sexual problems as no matter how aroused i am mentally my body does not respond, its as if certain parts are numb/asleep. i'm sorry for the length of this...what i wish to know is - could these side affects be due to the brand change? or are they 'part & parcel' of the medication itself? very grateful for any replies. thankyou. amanda.
