My daughter, age 17; had an abnormal Pap Smear. Specimen Adequacy: Satisfactory for Evaluation Endocervical / Transformation Zone Component Present Category: Epithelial Cell Abnormality Diagnosis: Atypical Squamous Cells (ASCUS) , Favor LSIL. Hormone: Hormonal Evaluation not given due to specimen source. Recommendation: Follow up of this abnormal result is indicated with in 4 weeks What exactly does this mean and is it serious? Cancer related? Please help. Follow up sceduled for 1-16-02. Any answers before that day are appreciated. Thank you!!!!!!
