>hello, i am 28 years old, married for 2 years and have 2 childrens. when we have our 3 year old i went on depo. I was having stomach cramps after 2 years on the depo. In march 2001 my doctor ordered a pelvic ultrasound and everything seems to normal and working then. In august i decided to stop the depo and go on Ortho tricyclin which made me sick as if i was pregnant. home pregnancy test and hcg test proved i am not. i had a period in september. i stopped taking the pills and have not had a period since. she prescibed provera 10mg for 10 days. still no period. At my last visit my doctor took more test for pregnacy and toldd me to take the provera again. i have not taken the provera because of the risk if pregnacy occurs. will my body start working without the provera? and how long after you take the provera for 10 days does it take to get out of your system?........marion

Sounds like you may still have some of the Depo provera on board. This sometimes happens and it can take up to 2-3 years for it to all get out of your system. The oral will be gone in 3-4 days. The Depo can hang around for a real long time as I said above.
