Reply: Patti Tessler, Family Nurse Practitioner: "Re: Brown spotting mid period and missed period..menopause?" i just turned 50, missed my first EVER period (except for pregnancies) in November, had one in December.I have always had regular cycles, 28-32 days until then. Two weeks later, brown discharge for a couple days, not heavy very light. No hot flashes, but I do notice vaginal dryness, itchiness, and bladder some incontinence problems. Dr. wants me to wait until my March yearly exam/pap. Should I push going in now, menopause ? or more serious?
