I'm not a doctor, but I think I know what was done. I had Curretage done during a recent biopsy. This is where the doctor inserts a comb/brush looking instrument into you cervix and takes cells from the inside of the opening to your cervix to check for abnormalities. In my case it was excruciatingly painful. I think this may be what was done during your visit. The doctor should definitely have discussed it with you, though. They are supposed to test you for pregnancy before performing this bit of torture because Curretage is the 'C' in 'D&C'. I hope this helps you understand what might have happened. I'm just angry on your behalf because your doctor seems not to take into account your feelings *or* your brain. Hope you sort it out. Best Wishes, Susanna
