[Birth Control] Continuous Birth Control Therapy / Alesse

It's been a year now that I'm taking Alesse on a continuous basis (3 months on the pill, 7 days off (i.e., my period) = 4 periods per year). At the end of every pack of 21 pills, I systematically experience 10 days of spotting / breakthrough bleeding even though I immediately start a new pack. My husband thinks the problem will go away if I take a pill with a higher dose of estradiol, such as Loestrin or Yasmin. Is it true ? I've always taken the pill at the same time every day and do not experience any other secondary effect than the bleeding. Thanks for replying to me!
