Vaginal skin tags

hi, i noticed a skin tag in my vaginal area on the outer labia, some mths bak & showed to the gynaec. she assured me that it was nothing dangerous & could be removed if wanted & also asked me to observe its growth for around a month. at that time, it didn't grow in size..but some months back i did notice an increase in size compared to the first time when i saw it. and 2 months back, just before i was about to have my periods, i observed that the skin tag had become extremely big as if swollen and even felt like it was about to burst. i thought of waiting till after my periods to see if it was due to some hormonal changes and indeed it shrunk back to a small size soon after my periods. this month again, i am facing the same problem, with the skin tag swelling just before my periods, but this time there was an additional complexity.. the skin tag seemed to have swollen again and was paining a lot and was accompanied along with an urge to itch :-P. moreover, it started bleeding a day back and then later in the day, it shrunk to a small size.. but it's color had turned a ghastly, deathly grey!! which is just unlike the color of flesh anywhere on my body.. moreover.. there seemed to be a blood clot on it of some sort..it seems to be growing darker in color..although in size it seems as if it has done away with what was inside it. it's connected to the outer labia with a very thin piece of skin.. almost as thin as a thread.. and the skin tag's about a pea's size. is all this normal?
