It is normal for a person with a history of irregular periods to resume a pattern of irregular periods when stopping the pill. It sounds like you are interested in getting pregnant; if so, I suggest you consult your gynecological health care provider to get information on the cause of and possible remedies for your irregular cycles.

By definition, category C drugs are those for which a woman and her health care provider need to make decisions in concert, given the risks and benefits to the particular individual. A preconception counseling appointment makes great sense in your case. Best of luck.
