Hello, I have had a very trying two years with trying to concieve and I was wondering if anyone out there have been through anything similar to my case and could tell me where I need to go or what I need to do. I have had a total of seven pregnancies: My first child born 8/98 was born full term no complications normal birth. Since then I have had one stillbirth 12/99 at 5 months 3 miscarraiges 2/00, 5/00, 8/00 1 preterm at 6 mos, baby died due to complications 1 ectopic pregnancy 12/01 After my first preterm resulting in a stillbirth of my daughter, the doctor(s) classified me as having incompetent cervix, and when I got pregnant the 2nd go around I had a cerclage put in but as you can see I still delivered my child too early. And after this second tragedy the doctor told me I was preterm labor and not incompetence cervix I have talked to a perinatologist and they don't have an explanation for any of this other than to classify me as preterm labor. I want a second opinion but I'm not sure if I should go to another perinatologist or a infertility doctor. As you can imagine I am at my wits end and have been on an emotional roller coaster for the past two years.
