chlamydia/PID?

A couple days ago I finished my second round of treatment for chlaymidia (1 gram of zithromax did not get rid of it, so I recently finished 14 pills of doxycycline). I know you should wait a week to two weeks to have a test of cure for chlamydia, but I'm still experiecing symptoms (some vaginal itching and yellow/white discharge that is thick and mucousy at times) and for the past couple days I have had flu-like symptoms (one day nausea and vomitting, one day stomach cramps, one day chills, a fever for a couple days). Although my family has been sick with the flu this season, I am really scared because these symptoms are similar to those of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. I will be going back to school in a week and will be able to get into the health center in 9-10 days (my parents don't know about my infection), but still I am worried. Maybe I am just jumping the gun, because I feel much better today, but I was just hoping for another opinion. I was diagnosed with chlamydia about 2-2.5 months ago. I plan to get tested for chlamydia and PID when I get back to school. Do these symptoms sound like the problems that I think they might be, or something else? Thanks so much for your time.
