Dryness maybe?From: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Dec 2001 11:44:00 -0600 (CST)
Since starting the pill (ortho-cylen) and being treated for a mixed infection, I seem to have a lot less lubrication. In addition to frictional burning in the first inch or so of my vagina during sex (which disappears within an hour or two after sex), I'm experiencing symptoms of UTI the day following sex, particularly if I reach orgasm. These symptoms never last more than a day. I've been to the doc twice with these complaints, but my urine has always been clean and no signs of yeast/bacterial infection have been detected. Is it possible that dryness is causing irritation of the urethra which is what leads to my discomfort? Or should I be worried about something more severe?
