Just WonderingFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 Dec 2001 18:45:39 -0600 (CST)
I'm 28, pregnant 5 times, 3 births. Tubal ligation in 1998. Have had dx lap done (adhesion removal) and recently a Unilateral Oopherectomy (right ovary). Am in Aleese 28 and have been for 1 1/2 years (taking due to heavy and painful cycles). One question: now that my ovary is out (and btw this one was causing the most pain), should I try to go off the pill and see what happens? Another question: I am on antibiotics (Keflex) 1 pill 4 x day for 10 days to clear up what looked to be an infection, not a nasty one, in 2 of the incisions from the recent surgery (the oopherectomy). There is some yellowish pus coming out the incisions. From one of the incisions, not only is there the pus, but also a tiny amount of blood following the pus, not mixed in. Still having right side pain, assuming its recovery from surgery still.. not sure.. its sharp stabbing pains. Still taking Darvocet N-100 for pain relief. Have told my GYN about it, thus why I have the antibiotics and the pain pills. The question for this is: why am I still having the pains on the right side? It was a simple procedure for me to undergo, and the ovary looked norm, and path report was norm. Any ideas? Hope you all have a great holiday!
