I'm asking my question again since it didn't seem to make the cut last week. Is there any alternative besides birth control pills and depo-provera shots to control cycles? I've always had very irregular periods and have been on a wide variety of bcps. The depo shots didn't work for me, and now I'm on Mircette, which seems to work, but with a lot of PMS type symptoms that I hate. I don't feel comfortable taking the pill until I hit menopause, but my dr. offers no other choice--it's either the mircette or put up with the irregularity (which wouldn't be so bad if it was just skipping periods instead of bleeding nonstop for months!). Any ideas?
