The hair can get into the incision and cause some irritation discomfort and other possible infections. Not to say his method is bad but it is alot safer to just go ahead and shave it off because the hair will grow back. And it is safer for you in the long run because there is nothing to lose.There is a million different reasons why the hair should be shaved off and none i can think of to leave it there. I work in the o.r. myself and i have never seen anybody do a percedure without shaving the affected area first, especially on gyn cases.
