[Birth Control] Ortho novum 777 - problems

I have the following questions and hope they can be answered.

I will finish my 3rd pack of pills tomorrow night (tuesday 12/11). I do not wish to get my period though for the following 7 days (Wed 12/12 - Tues 12/18) because I will be having sex during those days.

Because of the 3 levels of hormones on ortho novum 777, I am concerned about going from the 3rd week high dosage to the new pack's 1st week low dosage.

May I:

a) start a brand new pack of pills on Wednesday (12/12) and continue on for another 3 weeks and then take the placebos as regular? If so, what consequences? will I have spotting? irregular bleeding? more heavier bleeding than usual? Any emotional/mood consequences?

May I:

b) start a brand new pack on Wednesday (12/12) and stay on the new pack for a total of 11 days (thru Sat. 12/22) and then stop? Will this induce a normal pill period? What consequences? (as above)

The reason I ask this last question is because I have been having strong emotional/mood reactions to this pill - I am currently on the 2nd month of pills. I have been informed that my emotionalness/moodiness will get better after the 3rd month. However, I will not be having sexual relations after next Tuesday (12/18). I want the protection for this coming 7 days (12/12 - 12/18), and then take the pill for 4 more days (next wed-saturday 12/19-12/22) to ensure anything left inside me cannot impregnate me, and then get off the pill after the 11th day (12/22) so that I can induce my period or at least get back to my normal self.

I hope I have made my questions clear and that a Doctor here could answer them for me.

Thank you :) -be83398
