hysterectomyFrom: olivia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 6 Dec 2001 03:20:44 -0600 (CST)
I underwent an abdominal hysterectomy two weeks ago for the large fibroid which was causing bleeding and pain. I have had six normal pregnancies and deliveries. The hystology report shows minute hpv points on the cervix and minute endometrial tissue on the outside of the tissue. What is your understanding of these two issues. Do they require further treatment. The cervix was removed with the uterus and the ovaries left intact. I was shown the uterus after surgery because i was interested but being still in a morphine daze missed most of the lesson. If anyone knows of a site which shows the anatomy and physiology clearly and even dissects or examines organs please advise. What incidence does Morphine cause reaction in a post-op patient. I got the awful itching all over until i was nearly inside out. Fentanyl had the same response. Are these unusual reactions and would it be worthwhile advising the GP post operatively. Many thanks Olivia
