What you would have to do is take the pill so that you finish the 21 active pills 16-18 days before you would like to conceive, assuming that you have a regular 28 day cycle. What you propose would not delay that particular ovulation, but destroy it altogether, and your ovaries would have to start from scratch. All told, you would have to start this process 5 weeks before the big event.
