viginal painFrom: amen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 2 Dec 2001 14:11:35 -0600 (CST)
I have had many visits to many different obgyns. I have a burning, itching >sensation that developes before my period (3-5 days), almost monthly. It is >somewhat on the outside lips, but mostly around and just inside the opening. >During this time, sex is too painful; it swells, reddens and burns horribly. >It also burns and itches throughout the day/night. I have tried the usual >yeast infection cures (incluidng creams and suppositories), and they don't >work. I have been treated for hypersqemus (spelled?). Also the not so common >form of yeast infection. I have been given among other "cures", terazol and >am currently applying fungizone. This problem has been going on for several >years. It starts like clockwork. It usually clears up after my period is >over, about 3-5 days. However, sometimes it lasts from one period to the >next. So basically every 2 weeks I suffer from this. And it is miserable. >Please, if you have any suggestions or ideas, I would be greatful. Thank you.
