It is my understanding, Group B Strep is normal. The only time it is treated is during labor to avoid passing it on to the infant, which could cause severe problems for the baby. Read the archives for more information on Group B Strep.

Don't know what that is.....I am sure one of the Docs can help with this one.

How did they diagnose Endometriosis? Was this by way of a pelvic exam? The only way to definitively diagnose Endo is with surgery (laparoscopy or laparotomy).

Lupron is a very strong drug. I would want a definitive diagnosis of Endometriosis before subjecting myself to it. I did take it (I was surgically diagnosed with Endo), and I developed Osteoporosis from it, even with addback therapy (given a tiny amount of estrogen to help counter the side effects of Lupron, and helps keep the bones healthy...didn't work for me).

Have you been seeing a GYN? I know many go to their Family Drs., but when dealing with the issues you discuss, it might be better to see a GYN (if you aren't already).

Endometriosis doesn't affect the uterus per se. Endo is when the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus, and attaches to other organs, such as ovaries, tubes, ureters, etc. If Endo is your problem, a hyst. probably won't help. If you have fibroids, or Adenomyosis, which is Endo within the uterine muscle (can only be diagnosed via pathology after the uterus is removed....prior to that, it is suspected adeno), a hyst. will help.

Find a new Dr.
