Robin:

Thanks for the response. I really don't want to do anymore surgery at this point. I have had so many. The physician I saw told me that the greatest risk of this surgery is that I will have to have more if scar tissue forms after this one and given my recurrent adhesion history (last 2 laps negative, though), he feels that I may end up with a vaginal stenosis, which could lead to painful intercourse (heck, I have that now). But, I am so torn because of the pressure, I don't know what to do. Also, I don't know if an adhesion barrier would work in the case of vaginal adhesions, but it is certainly worth posing the quesion to him. However, I had only gone to him for an opinion. Didn't sound like he wanted to do the actual surgery, but I could've misunderstood him on that one. He suggested I talk all of this over with my regular gyne..I don't know if I will or not. I am just very frustrated and I thank God for this board because it is comforting to know that there are people here who can identify. He also stated that I now fall into the "chronic pain" category and taking lortab daily is an acceptable practice (one I would like to eliminate from my life). I told him I had 2 negative laps, but he also pointed out that all other laps revealed extensive adhesions involving the colon. I also had endomentriosis inside the left ovary. He feels that the adhesions are still there, but not visible upon laparoscopy! He said they are probably deep adhesions that are "underneath" the organs. Anyway, thanks for the input.
