Connie,
The only way to definitively diagnose Endo is with surgery. Ultrasounds
are great for seeing cysts, fibroids, tubal pregnancies, but Endo can't
be diagnosed with an Ultrasound. Now, your friend may have had
something called an Endometrioma, which is connected to Endometriosis,
so maybe that is what she was talking about.
