Confused, Frustrated and ready to give up!From: Connie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Nov 2001 15:42:13 -0600 (CST)
Hi All: Well, I went to another physician (the one my urologist suggested) and he seems to think that my prolapse is only a 1 degree as opposed to the 3 degree as my regular gyne thinks. Anyway....he is telling me that the "bulge" I feel is part of the prolapse, but most of it is scar tissue and he said, a significant amount. My only option is a "risky" surgery to cut away the vaginal skin and all the scar tissue...he also told me that the exam was somewhat limited due to the amount of scar tissue and a thorough exam would be very uncomfortable. I was grateful in a way because it is painful enough with out him trying to get "beyond" the scar tissue. Anyway...what do I do?? To have the scar tissue excised would cause me more scar tissue and more pain...to not have it, I am unbearable pressure and pain......hmmmmmm...any opinions here?
