I want to start taking the first pack. However, I have a problem. My last menstrual period was on October 20..which was normal. However, I have been under a lot of stress lately and I have not gotten my period for the month of November yet (it is 11/28). The question is that I am going on vacation on 12/15 to see my long distance boyfriend. I am afraid that I will get my period then. Is it possible to start taking the birth control pills now. Will I be "safe" on 12/15. The Dr. gave me a prescription for Ortho-tricyclen.
