? on depth of endometrium post EAFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Nov 2001 10:41:34 -0600 (CST)
I had an abdominal U/S and a transvag. U/S done yesterday...and the U/S tech told me all looked good. Now I realize the it has not been read by a doc yet...but I will get the results soon which I am taking with me to a new ob/gyn. She said the normal lining is 12 ml, and mine was 5 ml...I am so happy as I think this is GOOD news. :) I just wanted to ask you how accurate her number is as far as the normal depth of the lining and is 5 ml's almost two years post-EA good? Does this mean that only a little less than half of my uterine lining was destroyed by the ablation? My periods are very light...so, when I heard 5 ml, at first I was very happy - until I realized that is just a little under half. I had the U/S's performed to just 'take a look around' as there was a suspicious mass seen in the lower segment of my uterus, or in my cervix at my last U/S...but it was chalked up to a 'shadow', but we wanted to make sure it was just a shadow and not a mass...she said there was no mass that she saw. :) I did have water around my uterus too...but she said all that means is that I probably had a cyst that burst. Thank You :)
