I would tend to stay away for triphasic type pills in women that have breakthrough bleeding and use a monophasic instead, and I might suggest LoOvral as being a good one for controlling bleeding. If that does not work, you might need a biopsy or hysteroscopy or U/S so see if there is something in or about your uterus that is the problem. 2 months is plenty to get the pill in your system, and 6 is overkill.
