Yeast again

Back again with my yeast questions. After my tests came back positive for yeast, I went back to find out the sub-typing for the yeast, and it is common ol' garden variety Candida Albicans. So WHY won't the infection respond to ongoing use of every available variety of over the counter treatments for Candida? As I've mentioned before, I do all the right things when it comes to diet and clothing and bathing, etc, but to no avail. And I'm sick to death of funding Canestan - I should have shares in the company I've bought so much of the stuff!

Anyway, does anybody have any ideas, because I don't know what to turn to next. I mentioned boric acid to my Doctor (having seen it mentioned on this forum numerous times). She just looked at my blankly. I don't think that it is a common treatment in Australia, I've never heard it mentioned before, and I've been in the yeast infection business for many years now.

Any thoughts ideas or remedies will be gratefully received.

Thanks,

Jen
