pBlair, It is not unusual to have occasional irregular or unscheduled bleeding while taking the pill. The reasons vary, but it is a fact. The most important thing is to continue taking the pills as scheduled or the likely result will be a worsening of the bleeding difficulties. At this point, I would recommend you continue taking the pills as directed and see how things go. The bleeding and cramping should abate with a little more time. If over the next two weeks, things persist, let your physician know... Lynn
