Diflucan is about as good as the vaginal medications - it's success rate
is about 80% with one treatment. So, in 20%, a second treatment is
needed. As far as persistent symptoms, in many women, external therapy
for 1-3 weeks may be needed. You may wish to discuss this with your
doctor and see if further therapy is warranted.
